Royal Decree 56/74 Promoting Employees at the Foreign Ministry to the Grade of Ambassador and One to the Grade of Minister Plenipotentiary

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Law Concerning the Statute of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of 1975,

and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,

hereby decide as follows

Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ghazali is hereby promoted to the grade of ambassador.

Salim Mohammed Al-Ghailani is hereby promoted to the grade of ambassador.

Salim Ahmed Khalfan is hereby promoted to the grade of Minister Plenipotentiary.

This decree comes into force from 1 January 1975, and must be published in the Official Gazette.
