We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
Royal Decree 22/96 Issuing the Law for the Practice of the Medical Profession and Dentistry,
and Royal Decree 31/2006 Issuing the System of the Oman Medical Specialty Board,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The text of article 6 of the aforementioned System of the Oman Medical Specialty Board is hereby replaced with the following text:
The executive regulation of this system must specify the conditions of occupying technical and administrative positions in the board and the provisions governing appointment, promotion, salaries; granting of stipends, allowances, other and benefits; and all that relates to employment affairs, without being bound by the provisions of the Civil Service Law and its executive regulation.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
