We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Major General Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saleh Al-Shuaili is hereby appointed Advisor to the Internal Security Service.
Article II
Brigadier Said bin Ali bin Zahir Al-Hilali is hereby promoted to the rank of major general and appointed Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service for Operations.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Based on the Labour Law issued by Royal Decree 35/2003,
Ministerial Decision 222/98 Determining the Minimum Wage for Omani Workers in the Private Sector,
and the decision of the Council of Ministers issued in its session 25/2006 held on 6 Dhu Al-Hijja 1427, corresponding to 26 December 2006, and ratified in its session 2/2007 held on 2 Muharram 1428, corresponding to 21 January 2007, on raising the minimum wage for Omani manpower in the private sector,
and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The minimum basic wage for Omani manpower in the private sector is one hundred and twenty Rial Omani per month.
Article II
Every employer shall provide their workers with accommodation and transportation means in cases required by the working conditions. In other cases, each worker must be paid twenty Rial Omani per month in return for this.
Article III
Employers shall continue to grant their workers any other allowances that are customary or that the system of the establishment has been disbursing.
Article IV
This decision applies to Omani manpower who are working in the private sector at the time of its issuance, and it also applies to those appointed after that.
Article V
It is not permitted for the treatment of Omani manpower to be less than their expatriate manpower counterparts in terms of wages and other benefits, if the experience and nature of work are equal.
Article VI
The mentioned Ministerial Decision 222/98 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decision or in conflict with its provisions.
Article VII
This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 March 2007.
