We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Oil and Minerals Law promulgated by Royal Decree 42/74,
and the Petroleum Agreement between the Minister of Oil and Gas on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and British Petroleum (BP Amoco Exploration Epsilon Limited) for Block 61 signed on 22 January 2007,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The aforementioned petroleum agreement signed on 22 January 2007 is hereby approved.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Hunaina bint Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Mughairiya, Our ambassador to the United States of America, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Canada.

Habib bin Mohammed bin Al-Sheikh Said Al-Riyami is hereby appointed Secretary General of the Sultan Qaboos Centre for Islamic Culture with the special grade.

Major General Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saleh Al-Shuaili is hereby appointed Advisor to the Internal Security Service.
Article II
Brigadier Said bin Ali bin Zahir Al-Hilali is hereby promoted to the rank of major general and appointed Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service for Operations.
Article III
