We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Mustahail bin Salim Bait Shammas is hereby appointed Advisor to the State for Public Security.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and the Montreal 1997 and Beijing 1999 amendments to the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Montreal 1997 and Beijing 1999 amendments to the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer are hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of ratification of the amendments in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 59/96 Establishing the Oman Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The phrase “public authority”—mentioned in article I of Royal Decree 59/96 Establishing the Oman Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development—is hereby replaced with the phrase “public establishment”.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
