We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 119/94 Acceding to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal 1989,

and Resolution 3/1 adopted in Geneva in 1995 at the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Resolution 3/1 is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination adopted by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2106 dated 21 December 1965,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination is hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the convention in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
