after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Brigadier Abdullah bin Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Kalbani is hereby promoted to the rank of Major General.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, and Vocational Training is hereby divided into:

– The Ministry of Social Development, to which the mandates of social affairs are transferred.

– The Ministry of Manpower, to which the mandates of labour and vocational training are transferred.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
