We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and Royal Decree 34/73 Issuing the Labour Law and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The text of article 22(a) of the mentioned Labour Law issued by Royal Decree 34/73 is hereby replaced with the following text:
Every employer shall provide an annual financial contribution to vocational training projects managed by the ministry in accordance with a decision issued by the Minister of Social Affairs, Labour, and Vocational Training based on the approval of the Council of Ministers.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Omani nationality is hereby granted to Mames Loizo Enocresto Doledez.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 5 January 1998.

In exception to the provisions of article II of the mentioned Royal Decree 3/83, Omani nationality is hereby granted to:

– Sarfzar Ahmed Haboul.
– Abbas Ghulam Hussein Al-Ajmi.

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 14 December 1997.

and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income is hereby ratified.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

the Board of Governors of the Fund Decision 52/4 Approving the Fourth Amendment to the Agreement,
and the decision of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman BG/1140/100/97/12 approving the mentioned amendment,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The mentioned Fourth Amendment to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund is hereby ratified.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
