We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Mohammed bin Marhoon bin Ali Al-Mamari is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United Arab Emirates.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 54/96 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on the Rights of the Child

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 44/25 at its forty-fourth session held on 5 December 1989.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Convention on the Rights of the Child is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for accession to the convention in accordance with its provisions, subject to the attached reservations.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

His Excellency Sayyid Sultan bin Hamad bin Hilal Al-Busaidi, Our ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, is hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Article II

Sheikh Mohammed bin Marhoon bin Ali Al-Mamari is hereby appointed an ambassador in the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry with his current financial allocations.
