We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid signed in New York on 3 April 1974,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 79/91 Appointing Members to the Board of Directors of Oman National Insurance Company as Representatives of the Stake of the Government

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,

and the constitutive contract and articles of association of Oman National Insurance Company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following are hereby appointed members representing the share of the Government of the Sultanate in the board of directors of the mentioned Oman National Insurance Company:

– The Commercial Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry.

– The Director General of Commerce.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 78/91 Amending the Social Security Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 87/84 Issuing the Social Security Law and its amendments,

and the statement of the Council of Ministers regarding the increase of the pensions of individuals and families entitled to social security as of 1 November 1990,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached Schedule of Monthly Pension Categories hereby replaces the schedule attached to the mentioned Social Security Law.

Article II

The Council of Ministers is hereby authorised to amend the mentioned Shedule of Monthly Pension Categories if the need arises and after its approval by Us.
