Royal Decree 61/91 Approving a Capital Increase of Oman Aviation Services Company

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 52/81 Establishing Oman Aviation Services Company and its amendments,

the constitutive contract and the articles of association of Oman Aviation Services Company,

and the decision of the extraordinary general meeting of Oman Aviation Services Company on 23 April 1991 to increase the capital of the company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The capital increase of the mentioned Oman Aviation Services Company from five million to seven million Rial Oman is hereby approved.

Article II

The text of article 5 of the articles of association of the company is hereby amended to read:

(Company Capital)

The capital of the company is 7,000,000 (seven million) Rial Omani, divided into seven million shares, the nominal value of the share is one Rial Omani, and all shares are represented by nominal certificates that are negotiable and registered in the names of their holders.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 1 May 1991.

Royal Decree 60/90 Delegating the Signing of the Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic,

and the mentioned agreement on economic and trade cooperation signed in Muscat on 6 January 1991,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The organizational structure of the Secretariat General of the Development Council is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached annex.

Article I

Ambassador Mussalam bin Bakheet bin Zaidan Al-Baraami, Our ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Burundi.

Article II

Ambassador Mohammed bin Salim bin Said Al-Shanfari, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Guinea and the Republic of Mali.

Article III

Ambassador Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Wahaibi, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros.

Article IV

Ambassador Hamad bin Hilal bin Ali Al-Maamari, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United Republic of Tanzania.

Royal Decree 56/91 Determining the Public Holidays

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Royal Decree issued in 1972 Regarding Public Holidays and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The public holidays for ministries, public authorities, and other units of the administrative apparatus of the state are hereby determined for the following celebrations and occasions as follows:

(a) Hijri New Year – 1 Muharram.

(b) Birth of the Prophet – 12 Rabi Al-Awwal.

(c) Isra and Mi’raj – 27 Rajab.

(d) National Day – 18 and 19 November.

(e) Eid Al-Fitr – from 29 Ramadan to the end of 3 Shawwal.

(f) Eid Al-Adha – from 9 Dhu Al-Hijja to the end of 12 Dhu Al-Hijja.

The dates of some public holidays may be amended on national occasions if the public interest so requires.

Article II

If one or both days of the weekend fall within the holidays mentioned in the preceding, they are compensated by one day.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
