Royal Decree 33/90 Amending Some Provisions of the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Employees

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 26/86 Issuing the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Employees and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 18(a) of the mentioned Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Employees is hereby replaced with the following text:

Article 18(a)

That he submits a request for this to the Ministry of Civil Service within one year from the date of his new appointment, or during the period ending on 31 December 1990 for those in service.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
