We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 5/80 Issuing the Land Law,

and the decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council at its fifth session held in the State of Kuwait during the period from 27 to 29 November 1984 regarding the regulation of the ownership of real estate by nationals of the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The provisions of the mentioned decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council hereby apply.

Article 2

The Minister of Housing shall implement the procedures and controls adopted in this regard.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

and the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Education and Training Between the Ministry of Education and Youth and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities and Skills Development of the Province of Ontario in Canada,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Minister of Education and Youth is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Memorandum of Understanding Between the Government of the Sultanate and the Province of Ontario in Canada on Cooperation in the Fields of Education and Training.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 51/77 Establishing Oman Housing Bank,

and the Articles of Association of Oman Housing Bank,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The following are hereby appointed members of the Board of Directors of Oman Housing Bank as representatives of the share of the government of the Sultanate:

– Director General of the Diwan for Employee Affairs

– Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs in Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and Economy

– Director General of Expenditure Review in Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and Economy

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 44/85 Appointing the Members of the Board of Directors of Oman National Transport Company,

and the Articles of Association of Oman National Transport Company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The text of article 1 of the mentioned Royal Decree 44/85 is hereby replaced with the following text:

The Board of Directors of Oman National Transport Company is hereby formed under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and with the membership of representatives whose grade is not less than the grade of director general for each of the following:

– The Ministry of Finance and Economy

– Ministry of Transport

– Ministry of Regional Municipalities

– Royal Oman Police

– Capital Municipality

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, comes into force from the date of its issuance, and must be implemented by the relevant authorities.
