We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Nairobi Treaty on the Protection of the Olympic Symbol, adopted in Nairobi on 26 September 1981,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Nairobi Treaty on the Protection of the Olympic Symbol, adopted in Nairobi on 26 September 1981, is hereby approved.

Article 2

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs is hereby authorised to sign the instrument of accession on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and to deposit it in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned treaty.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 52/84 Issuing the Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

A new paragraph is hereby added to each of articles 16 and 84 of the mentioned Civil Service Law as follows:

Article 16(h)

That he has not married a non-Omani woman after 1 February 1986 without obtaining a permit to do so from the Ministry of Interior.

Article 84(j)

Marrying a non-Omani woman after 1 February 1986 without obtaining a permit to do so from the Ministry of Interior.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
