The Supreme Court ruled that the sale of a commercial register is not legally binding unless it is registered in the Commercial Register within one month of the sale, as required by article 8 of the Commercial Register Law. A preliminary, unregistered agreement does not constitute a valid sale.

The Supreme Court established that the jurisdiction to issue temporary or precautionary measures in arbitration disputes lies exclusively with the full panel of the competent Court of Appeal, and not with a single judge. Consequently, any precautionary order issued by a single appellate judge in such matters is considered fundamentally null and void.

The Supreme Court held that Omani courts lack jurisdiction over civil claims, including lease disputes, filed against diplomatic missions and their ambassadors. This is because the general jurisdiction over non-Omanis diplomats residing in Oman is restricted by the diplomatic immunity granted under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
