Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion: Ministerial Decision 494/2022 Naming the Chair and Members of the Elections Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Based on the System of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry promulgated by Royal Decree 56/2022,

and the Governance Regulation of the Elections Committees of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry issued by Ministerial Decision 225/2017,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The Elections Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry shall be chaired by His Excellency Dr Saleh bin Said bin Salim Messan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, and the membership of:

– Dr Sheikh Shihab bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Jabri Ministry of Interior.

– Mr Talal bin Ahmed bin Amer Al-Saadi Ministry of Interior.

– Senior Advisor Ibrahim bin Said bin Khalid Al-Hosni Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.

– Dr Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Badi Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.

– Mr Mohammed bin Saif bin Mohammed Al- Rashdi Capital Market Authority.

– Dr Moosa bin Salim bin Jaber Al-Azri From those with expertise and competence.

– Mr Ali bin Salim bin Hamed Al-Kasbi From those with expertise and competence.

– Mr Yousef bin Sulayem bin Rashid Al-Kiyumi Secretary of the committee.

Article II

The committee shall exercise the competences stipulated in the aforementioned Governance Regulation of the Elections Committees of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Article III

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology: Ministerial Decision 125/2022 Issuing the Governance Regulation for Establishing, Managing, and Operating Jetties Outside Ports

Based on the Law Governing Maritime Navigation in Territorial Waters promulgated by Royal Decree 98/81,

Royal Decree 90/2020 Establishing the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and the approval of the Ministry of Finance,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached Governance Regulation for the Establishment, Management, and Operation of Jetties Outside Ports shall apply.

Article II

Those addressed by the provisions of the attached regulation shall rectify their status in accordance with its provisions within 6 (six) months from the date of its entry into force.

Article III

All that is contrary to the attached regulation, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Based on the System of Governorates promulgated by Royal Decree 36/2022,

and in pursuance of public interest,

Article I

The regulations and decisions governing municipal activities in force in the governorates shall continue to operate in a manner that does not violate the aforementioned System of Governorates or contradict with its provisions, until the issuance of unified regulations in this regard.

Based on the Telecommunications Law promulgated by Royal Decree 30/2002,

the Executive Regulation of the Telecommunications Law issued by Decision 144/2008,

the approval of the Ministry of Finance,

and the approval of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached Regulation Governing the Implementation of Services in the Field of Telecommunications shall apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached regulation, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

Those addressed by the provisions of the attached regulation shall rectify their status within three months from the date of its entry into force.

Article IV

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Authority for Public Services Regulation: Decision 25/2022 Amending Some of the Provisions of the Regulation Governing Drinking Water Service

Arabic Based on the Law on the Regulation and Privatisation of the Electricity and Related Water Sector promulgated by Royal Decree 78/2004, Royal Decree 131/2020 regarding the Water and Wastewater Sector, the Regulation Governing Drinking Water issued by Decision 6/2019, the approval of the Council of Ministers, and the approval of the Ministry of Finance, and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The clauses of the services disconnection and reconnection fees stipulated in Annex 2 “Additional Services Fees” attached to the aforementioned Regulation Governing Drinking Water are hereby replaced with the following clauses:
Additional Service Metre Diameter in Inches Fee in Rial Omani
Service disconnection 7.5 (seven and a half)
Service reconnection 7.5 (seven and a half)

Article II

Article I

The attached National Data Strategy shall apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached strategy, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion: Ministerial Decision 473/2022 regarding the Regulation Governing the Practice of Productive Home Businesses

Based on the Commercial Register Law 3/74,

the Commercial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 55/90,

Royal Decree 97/2020 Amending the Name of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

Ministerial Decision 121/86 regarding the Executive Regulation of the Commercial Register Law,

and Ministerial Decision 4/2011 Governing the Practice of Productive Individual Businesses Inside Homes,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached regulation shall apply in regard to the governance of the practice of productive home businesses.

Article II

Whoever practises productive home businesses shall rectify his status in accordance with the provisions of the attached regulation within 6 (six) months from the date of its entry into force.

Article III

The aforementioned Ministerial Decision 4/2011 Governing the Practice of Productive Individual Businesses Inside Homes is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the attached regulation or in conflict with its provisions.

Article IV

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
