We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law concerning the Employee System of the Diwan of Royal Court promulgated by Royal Decree 97/97,

and Royal Decree 44/2004 Regarding the Adoption of the Organisational Structure of the Royal Court Affairs and the Powers of the Secretary General Relating to Its Administrative Divisions,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Engineer Hamoud bin Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mahrouqi is hereby appointed Head of Royal Estates in Royal Court Affairs with the special grade.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammad Al-Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, is hereby promoted to the rank of general.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 38/2011 Abolishing the Ministry of National Economy,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The committee referred to in the above decree is hereby given a period not exceeding two months to complete its work.

Article II

Sheikh Dr Abdulmalik bin Abdullah bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Advisor in the Ministry of Finance, is hereby assigned to carry out the necessary work for the abolished Ministry in coordination with the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Majlis Oman is hereby granted legislative and oversight authority in accordance with the Basic Statute of the State and the laws in force.

Article II

A technical committee of specialists is hereby formed by royal order to draft an amendment to the Basic Statute of the State in a manner that achieves the provisions of article I of this decree.

Article III

The committee shall submit its report to His Majesty the Sultan within a period not exceeding thirty days from the date of the order to form it.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
