We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of Transportation,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Electricity Management Law of Oman issued by a previous decree on 17 Shawwal 1393 corresponding to 13 November 1973, and published in Official Gazette 44 issued on 1 December 1973, is hereby suspended until further notice.

Article 2

The Minister of Transportation shall manage the affairs of the Electricity Department in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the state.

Article 3

All those concerned shall implement this decree, and it must be published in the Official Gazette.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall, from time to time, issue regulations listing the names of the materials exempt from taxes in accordance with this decree.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on its date.
