We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 6/2006 Establishing the Omani Plants Nature Reserve,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article I of the mentioned Royal Decree 6/2006 is hereby replaced with the following text:

Article I

The area specified in the attached map is hereby made a protected natural site named the “Omani Plants and Trees Garden”, subordinate to the Diwan of Royal Court.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Omani Penal Law promulgated by Royal Decree 7/74,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The phrase “life sentence” is hereby replaced with the phrase “life imprisonment” wherever it occurs in the aforementioned Omani Penal Law or in other laws in force.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

and the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law issued by Royal Decree 29/2002,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The phrase “in two widely circulated daily newspapers” provided in article 11 of the mentioned Civil and Commercial Procedures Law is hereby replaced with the phrase “in a widely circulated daily newspaper”.

Article II

Article 74bis is hereby added to the mentioned Civil and Commercial Procedures Law, with the following text:

The Minister of Justice shall issue a regulation governing judicial aid to insolvent persons after agreement in regard to it with the Ministry of Finance.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
