Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96, and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The ambassadors named below are hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry:

Sheikh Hilal bin Salim bin Hamoud Al-Siyabi, Our ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic.

Sheikh Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Wahaibi, Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Mohammed bin Omar bin Ahmed Aideed, Our ambassador to the Sultanate Brunei Darussalam.

Sheikh Hamad bin Hilal bin Ali Al-Maamari, Our ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Mohammed bin Ali bin Thani Al-Khusaibi, Our ambassador to the United States of America.

Article II

Ambassador Mussalam bin Bakheet bin Zaidan Al-Baraami is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Article III

Ambassador Dr Mohammed bin Salim bin Said Al-Shanfari is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Syrian Arab Republic.

Article IV

Ambassador Mohammed bin Yousuf bin Dawood Shalwani, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of India.

Article V

Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Article VI

Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.

Article VII

Ambassador Mohammed bin Said bin Mohammed Al-Lawati, Our ambassador to the Russian Federation, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Article VIII

Hunaina bint Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Mughairi is hereby granted the grade of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United States of America.

Article IX

have decreed as follows

Article I

Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid numbered 41 and Wilayat of Masirah numbered 42 are hereby added to the schedule stipulated in article 6 of the mentioned Judicial Authority Law.

Article II

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to Malik bin Sultan bin Said Al-Touqi.

Article II

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Omani Penal Law issued by Royal Decree 7/74 and its amendments,

and the Criminal Procedures Law issued by Royal Decree 97/99 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A paragraph is hereby added to article 163 of the Omani Penal Law, the text of which is as follows:

Every competent officer who wilfully refrains from, or obstructs, the execution of a judgment or order issued by a court, after the lapse of two weeks from his warning to execute it by a clerk, shall be punished by the same punishment stipulated in the preceding paragraph and by dismissal from office.

Article II

Article 4bis is hereby added to the Criminal Procedure Law, with the following text:

Without prejudice to the text of article 5, whoever suffers damage from the crime stipulated in the second paragraph of article 163 of the Omani Penal Law may directly summon the accused to appear before the competent misdemeanour court on the dates and in accordance with the procedures stipulated in articles 163 and 164, and the secretary of the court shall notify the Public Prosecution with a copy of the summons statement to appear to undertake the public lawsuit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
