Royal Decree 32/2002 Recomposing the Accreditation Council

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 74/2001 Establishing the Accreditation Council,

and Royal Decree 75/2001 Forming the Accreditation Council,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Accreditation Council is hereby recomposed under the chairmanship of Dr Hamed bin Hashim Al-Dhahab and the membership of:

1. Dr Rawiya bint Saud Al-Busaidi—Deputy Chairman

2. Dr Muneer bin Mohammed Al-Maskari

3. Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Lamki

4. Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Al-Mahrouqi

5. Dr Amer bin Awadh Al-Rawas

6. Dr Aladdin Abdulrahman Al-Husseini

7. Dr Hilal bin Zaher Al-Nabhani

8. Dr Sanaa bint Sabeel Al-Balushi

9. Dr Adel bin Abdulaziz Al-Kindi

The Director General of the Directorate General of Universities and Private Colleges in the Ministry of Higher Education shall be the secretary of the board.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 33/2002 Issuing the Tourism Law (Repealed)

This law has been repealed by Royal Decree 69/2023.

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Commercial Register Law 3/74 and its amendments,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,

and the System of Travel and Tourism Offices promulgated by Royal Decree 12/88 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of the public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Tourism Law shall apply.

Article II

Whoever practises a tourism activity on the date this law comes into force shall rectify his status in accordance with its provisions within one year from the date of its coming into force.

Article III

The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall issue the necessary executive regulation for implementing the provisions of this law, and until such regulation is issued, the existing regulation and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article IV

The aforementioned Royal Decree 82/88 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this law or in conflict with its provisions.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 27/2002 Amending the Articles of Association of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Articles of Association of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates issued by Royal Decree 4/93,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new paragraph is hereby added to article 3(c) of the Articles of Association of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, the text of which is as follows:

The establishment may grant a usufruct right to Omani persons—natural or legal—to a part of these lands to establish residences for workers in the industrial zone. It is not permitted to allocate these residences for a purpose other than the mentioned purpose.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Schedule of the Salaries, Allowances, and Stipends of Judges, Members of the Administrative Court, and Members of the Public Prosecution issued by Royal Decree 110/2000,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following paragraph is hereby added to the mentioned Schedule of the Salaries, Allowances, and Stipends of Judges, Members of the Administrative Court, and Members of the Public Prosecution:

This schedule applies to Omanis only. As for non-Omanis, the provisions of the contracts signed with them apply to their salaries, allowances, stipends, and all other financial transactions.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of entry into force of the mentioned Royal Decree 110/2000.
