We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Hussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif, Our ambassador to the Republic of Korea, is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 42/74 Issuing the Oil and Minerals Law,

and the Petroleum Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Total Oman Company signed on 9 July 1995 between the Minister of Oil and Minerals on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the mentioned company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned petroleum agreement signed on 9 July 1995 Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Total Oman Company is hereby approved.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Hamoud bin Sangour bin Hashim, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman, is hereby appointed a member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman for a period of five years.

have decreed as follows

The Minister of Regional Municipalities and Environment is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, Particularly in Africa.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 51/91 Establishing the Fisheries Research Financing Fund,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of the second paragraph of article 9 of the mentioned Constitution of the Fisheries Research Fund is hereby replaced with the following text:

– Contributions of companies, private establishments, and individuals working in the fisheries sector, and the percentages of these contributions and the time of their payment to the fund must be determined by a decision by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries after coordination with the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

and Royal Decree 26/79 Issuing the Law of National Parks and Protected Natural Sites,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The first paragraph of article 5 of the mentioned Law on the Establishment of National Parks and Protected Natural Sites issued by Royal Decree 26/79 is hereby amended as follows:

A technical advisory committee for national parks and protected natural sites is hereby formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Regional Municipalities and Environment and the membership of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Tourism Affairs, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture for National Heritage Affairs, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Development for Development Affairs, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment for Environmental Affairs. The Director General of Nature Reserves Affairs at the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment shall undertake the secretarial work of the committee.
