Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments, Royal Decree 8/92 Issuing the Law of Muscat Municipality, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 8 of the mentioned Law of Muscat Municipality is hereby amended as follows:

The municipal council consists of the chairman of the municipality and twenty-six members, of whom ten members represent government agencies selected by the heads of their units who hold at least the rank of director general, and sixteen members representing the wilayat of the Governorate of Muscat.

Article II

and Royal Decree 19/88 Issuing the Statute of the Institute of Health Sciences,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The statutes of educational institutes subordinate to the Ministry of Health must be issued by a decision by the Minister of Health.

Article II

The mentioned Royal Decree 19/88 is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
