We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Saif bin Hashil Al-Maskari is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Tourism.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Dr Al-Yaqdhan bin Talib bin Ali Al-Hinai is hereby appointed an Economic Advisor at the Diwan of Royal Court, transferred from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and is also appointed as a member of the following:

– Development Council

– Financial Affairs Council

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 48/84 Establishing the Planning Committee for Development and Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 27/85 Establishing a Supreme Committee for Town Planning,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Planning Committee for Development and Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar is hereby abolished, and its powers, allocations, and records are hereby transferred to the Supreme Committee for Town Planning, and the officers working in it are hereby transferred to it.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 10/87 Appointing a Secretary General for the Supreme Committee for Conferences,

and Royal Decree 114/91 Appointing an Acting President for the Public Authority for Youth Sports and Cultural Activities,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Rawas—Minister of Information—shall undertake the conduct of the work of the Public Authority for Youth Sports and Cultural Activities until a president of the authority is appointed.

Article II

His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal bin Said—Secretary of the Council of Ministers—shall undertake the duties of the Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Conferences on an acting basis.

Article III

The mentioned Royal Decrees 10/87 and 114/91 are hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 6 November 1993.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of India is hereby ratified.

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
