We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 94/91 Establishing Majlis Al-Shura,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Mohammed Al-Qatabi is hereby appointed Chairman of Majlis Al-Shura.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force as of 1 December 1991.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/79 Ratifying the Kuwait Regional Convention for Co-operation on the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution,

and the Protocol for the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution from Land Based Sources,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Protocol for the Protection of the Marine Environment Against Pollution from Land Based Sources is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of accession in accordance with the mentioned protocol.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 43/90 Appointing Representatives of the Stake of the Government in the Board of Directors of Salalah Hotels Company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following are hereby appointed members of the Board of Directors of Salalah Hotels Company as representatives of the stake of the government:

– Deputy Governor of Dhofar

– Director General of Tourism at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry

– Director General of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar

– Director General of Finance in Dhofar

– Director General of Tourism at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry

Article II

The mentioned Royal Decree 43/90 is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
