Royal Decree 51/2016 Appointing the Chairman of the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 50/2016 Establishing the Implementation Support and Follow-Up Unit,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Dr Khamis bin  Saif bin Hamoud Al-Jabri is hereby appointed Chairman of the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit with the rank of minister.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 47/2016 Issuing Amendments to Some Provisions of the Maritime Law

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Maritime Law promulgated by Royal Decree 35/81,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the aforementioned Maritime Law shall be implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 46/2016 Ratifying the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Cooperation in the Field of Defence and Amending the Attached Annexes A and B

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Cooperation in the Field of Defence signed in 1994, and the amendment of Annexes A and B attached to the aforementioned memorandum of understanding signed on 17 May 2016, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned memorandum of understanding and amendment are hereby ratified.

Article II

Article II

Royal Decree 40/2016 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure (Repealed)

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 24/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided,

Article I

The competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture are hereby determined in accordance with the attached annex 1.

Article II

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached annex 2.

Article III

The aforementioned Royal Decree 24/2005 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree or in conflict with its provisions.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

the Law Regulating the Accounting and Auditing Profession promulgated by Royal Decree 77/86,

and Royal Decree 21/2011 on the Law on the Continuation of the Validity of Licences for Foreign Accounting and Auditing Companies and Exempting Owners of Omani Offices from the Full-Time Requirement,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Law on the Continuation of the Validity of Licences for Foreign Accounting and Auditing Companies and Exempting Owners of Omani Offices from the Full-Time Requirement shall apply.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
