after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Oil and Gas Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/2011,

and the petroleum agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, Medco Arabia Ltd, and Intaj LLC for Block 56 signed on 20 November 2014,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned petroleum agreement is hereby approved.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 71/2014 Appointing a Non-resident Ambassador

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Sheikh Hamad bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Rawahi, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Nepal and the Maldives.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 70/2014 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Membership of the Near East Plant Protection Organization

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 88/88 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the International Plant Protection Convention,

and the Agreement for the Establishment of the Near East Plant Protection Organization,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the membership of the Near East Plant Protection Organization is hereby approved, in accordance with the Agreement for the Establishment of the Organization as attached.

Article II

The competent entities shall undertake the procedures for acceding to the Near East Plant Protection Organization, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned agreement.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 63/2014 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 30/2012 Establishing the Supreme Council for Planning and Issuing Its System,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Organisational Structure of the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning is hereby adopted in the manner provided in the attached annex.

Article II

All that is contrary to the provisions of this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
