Royal Decree 76/99 Amending the Foreigners Residency Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Foreigners Residency Law issued by Royal Decree 16/95,

and the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 47/98,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Foreigners Residency Law is hereby amended in accordance with the attached provisions.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 32/88 Forming the National Emergency Committee and its amendments,

the Civil Defence Law issued by Royal Decree 76/91,

and the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 47/98,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Civil Defence Law is hereby amended in accordance with the attached provisions.

Article II

The mentioned Royal Decree 32/88 is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 39/96 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Finance and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 47/98,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the mentioned Financial Law are hereby implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 3/83 on the Law Governing Omani Nationality and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to those named in the attached list.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 29 May 1999.

Royal Decree 69/99 Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Ibri Souq Development Project

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The project to develop the Ibri Souq specified in the accompanying note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 61/99 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Lands Affected by the Boundaries of Seeb International Airport

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The lands, properties, and real estate located in the Mawaleh (North) area specified in the attached note and masterplan are hereby deemed public benefit projects.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned agreement is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Based on the Real Estate Register System issued by Royal Decree 2/98,

and the Governance Regulation of the Land Affairs Committees and the Appeal Committee issued by Ministerial Decision 44/88 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached Executive Regulation of the Real Estate Register System hereby apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decision, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
