Royal Decree 47/2014 Ratifying the Agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Agreement Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income on 30 Jumada Al-Akhira 1435, corresponding to 30 April 2014,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 44/2014 Lifting the Public Benefit Status of Some Masterplans within the Masterplan of the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Financial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/98,

Royal Decree 85/2006 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Project for Developing Duqm City in Wusta Region,

and Royal Decree 119/2011 Establishing the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm and Issuing Its System,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The public benefit status of the masterplans within the masterplan of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm is hereby lifted as specified in the attached note.

Article II

The location and boundaries of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm are hereby amended in accordance with the attached masterplan.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 38/2014 Issuing the Omani Nationality Law

This item was repealed by Royal Decree 17/2025.

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing Omani Nationality promulgated by Royal Decree 3/83,

 and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Omani Nationality Law shall apply.

Article II

The Minister of Interior shall issue the executive regulation and the decisions necessary for the implementation of the provisions of the attached law, and until they are issued, the existing decisions continue to operate in regard to all that is not governed by a special text in it and to the degree that they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article III

The aforementioned Law Governing Omani Nationality is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the attached law or in conflict with its provisions.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force after the lapse of six months from the date of its publication.

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to those named in the attached list, from the date stated next to each name.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Royal Decree 32/2014 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Project for Implementing the Roads Linking Batinah Expressway with the Existing Batinah Road

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The project for implementing the roads linking the Batinah Expressway with the existing Batinah Road specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 26/2014 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti- Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the aforementioned convention is hereby approved in the form attached.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the aforementioned convention in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

the Law on the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled promulgated by Royal Decree 63/2008,

the Law on Food Safety promulgated by Royal Decree 84/2008,

the Law Combating Human Trafficking promulgated by Royal Decree 126/2008,

and the Cybercrime Law promulgated by Royal Decree 12/2011,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Law of the Child shall apply.

Article II

The attached law shall be published in the Official Gazette.
