We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 54/96 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on the Rights of the Child,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of the second paragraph of the preamble of the mentioned Royal Decree 54/96 is hereby replaced with the following text:

and the Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 44/25 at its forty-fourth session held on 20 November 1989.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the mentioned treaty with the depositary governments in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
