Royal Decree 81/2007 Promulgating the Law on Private Entities Working in the Field of Sports

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural Activities promulgated by Royal Decree 41/2001,

Royal Decree 112/2004 Establishing the Ministry of Sports Affairs and Determining Its Competences,

and Royal Decree 7/2006 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Sports Affairs,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached law shall apply in regard to private entities working in the field of sports.

Article II

The Minister of Sports Affairs shall issue the constitutions of the aforementioned private entities and other regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of the provisions of this law. Until these constitutions, regulations, and decisions are issued, the existing constitutions, regulations, and decisions continue to operate to the degree they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article III

The aforementioned Royal Decree 41/2001 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to or contradicts with the provisions of the attached law.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
