We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Muscat Municipality Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/92,
and the Law concerning the Employee System of the Diwan of Royal Court promulgated by Royal Decree 97/97,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Engineer Mohsin bin Mohammed bin Ali Al-Sheikh is hereby appointed Chairman of Muscat Municipality with his same rank and financial entitlements.
Article II
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
