Royal Decree 60/2013 Amending Some Provisions of the Tender Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Tender Law promulgated by Royal Decree 36/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the aforementioned Tender Law are hereby implemented.

Article II

The provisions of the aforementioned Tender Law shall continue to apply to companies with an independent legal personality wholly owned by the government until the issuance of their tender system after coordination with the relevant entities. The internal tender units of these companies shall assume the competences of the Tender Board during this period.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree and the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
