We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
A directorate general named the “Directorate General of Commerce and Industry in the Southern Region” is hereby established at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Article 2
The organisational structure of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is hereby amended in accordance with the foregoing, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry shall undertake the necessary measures to implement this decree.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

A Directorate General of Electricity in the Southern Region is hereby established at the Ministry of Electricity and Water.
Article 2
The mentioned organisational structure of the ministry is hereby amended in accordance with the annex attached to this decree.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
