Article 2

The mandates of each of the mentioned ministries and their organisational structures are hereby amended as indicated in accordance with the provisions of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 44/77 Amending the Royal Decree on Territorial Waters, the Continental Shelf, and the Exclusive Fisheries Zone issued on 20 July 1972,

and Royal Decree 15/81 on the Territorial Sea, the Continental Shelf, and the Exclusive Economic Zone,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

In application of article 2(c) of Royal Decree 15/81 referred to above, the straight baselines in any part of the Sultanate of Oman and the closing lines of the waters located between the inlets and bays, as well as the waters between the islands and the coast of the mainland, are hereby determined as set out in the schedule attached to this decree.

Article 2

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs shall announce the determination by the Sultanate of the straight baselines in accordance with the foregoing and shall deposit the relevant documents with the competent entities. All relevant government units shall implement this decree, each within the limits of its mandate.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law,

and Royal Decree 44/81 Issuing the Constitutive Committee for the Project of Sultan Qaboos University,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Amer Ali Omair is hereby assigned to serve as Secretary General of the Founding Committee for the Project of Qaboos University at his current financial grade and with the additional benefits granted to him. He is hereby mandated to undertake the duties mentioned in the schedule attached to this decree.

Article 2

Ali bin Mohammed Al-Jarwani is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and the Cultural and Educational Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates initialled on 30 Rabi Al-Thani 1402 corresponding to 24 February 1982,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

The mentioned Cultural and Educational Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, which was signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate and initialled by the Acting Minister of Education, Social Affairs, and Labour, is hereby approved.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

The mentioned Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Morocco, which was signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, is hereby approved.
