Royal Decree 83/2023 Granting Omani Nationality

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Omani Nationality Law promulgated by Royal Decree 38/2014,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby granted to those named in the attached list.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 82/2023 Appointing a Secretary General for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan

Arabic We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State, the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 120/2004, and Royal Decree 9/2018 regarding the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Salim Al-Badi is hereby appointed Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan with his same grade and financial entitlements.

Article II

Royal Decree 81/2023 Appointing Non-resident Ambassadors

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Bader bin Mohammed bin Bader Al-Mandhari, Our ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Ireland, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Lithuania, and the Republic of Latvia.

Article II

His Highness Sayyid Nizar bin Al-Julanda bin Majid Al-Said, Our ambassador to the Republic of Italy, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Malta, the Hellenic Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Albania, Romania, and the Republic of San Marino.

Article III

Maitha bint Saif bin Majid Al-Mahrouqiya, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Republic of Poland, and the Republic of Finland.

Article IV

Talal bin Sulaiman bin Habib Al-Rahbi, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Brazil, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Argentina, the Republic of Paraguay, the Republic of Peru, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and the Republic of Chile.

Article V

Mahmood bin Hamad bin Nasser Al-Hasni, Our ambassador to the Swiss Confederation, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Vatican City State (the Holy See).

Article VI

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaih, Our ambassador to the Russian Federation, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Belarus.

Article VII

Omar bin Said bin Omar Al-Kathiri, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Principality of Andorra.

Article VIII

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 80/2023 regarding Tax Exemption

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

the Financial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/98,

the Income Tax Law promulgated by Royal Decree 28/2009,

the Excise Tax Law promulgated by Royal Decree 23/2019,

the Value Added Tax Law promulgated by Royal Decree 121/2020,

and the System of the Tax Authority and the Adoption of its Organisational Structure promulgated by Royal Decree 42/2020,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Minister of Finance shall assume the competence of tax exemption wherever it is provided in laws and royal decrees.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.
