We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law promulgated by Royal Decree 40/86,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ali bin Salim bin Masood Al-Maamari is hereby transferred from the Ministry of Defence to the Foreign Ministry with his same financial allocations and employment privileges, and he is hereby appointed an ambassador in the headquarters of the ministry.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 10 April 2007.

– Ali bin Ahmed bin Harib Al-Issai.

– Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthi.

– Sheikh Ahmed bin Salim bin Ahmed Al-Shanfari.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 December 2006.

and the 1998 Protocol on the Control of Marine Transboundary Movements and Disposal of Hazardous Wastes and Other Wastes,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned protocol is hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of ratification of the protocol in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
