We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/80 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Mohsin bin Khamis bin Ghulam Al-Balushi is hereby appointed Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry with his same current grade.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Commercial Agencies Law issued by Royal Decree 26/77 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A second paragraph is hereby added to article 7 of the mentioned Commercial Agencies Law with the following text:

Contracts for the purchase of weapons, ammunition, or military equipment of all types and forms signed by military or security entities directly with the principal are excluded.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The mentioned conventions are hereby ratified.

The mentioned petroleum agreement signed on 6 June 2005 between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Circle Oil Oman Limited is hereby approved.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
