after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Granting Oman Gas Company SAOC the Concession to Manage the Gas Transportation Sector issued by Royal Decree 78/2000 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A paragraph is hereby added to article 4 of the mentioned Law Granting Oman Gas Company SAOC the Concession to Manage the Gas Transportation Sector, with the following text:

The exemption stipulated in the previous paragraph applies from the date of entry into force of the mentioned Royal Decree 78/2000.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 42/2004 Raising the Organisational Level of the Computer Directorate in the Ministry of Health to the Level of a Directorate General Named “Directorate General of Information Technology”

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State issued by Royal Decree 26/75 and its amendments,

Royal Decree 47/92 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Health,

and Royal Decree 38/2002 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Health,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The level of the “Computer Directorate” in the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Health adopted by the mentioned Royal Decree 47/92 is hereby raised to the level of a directorate general named the “Directorate General of Information Technology.”

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 41/2004 on the Accession of the Sultanate to the Two Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict,

and the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate to the mentioned protocols is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for accession to the two protocols in accordance with their provisions, subject to the reservations of the Sultanate to the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
