We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 47/2001 Amending the Ministerial Formation,

and Royal Decree 66/2001 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Hamad bin Sulaiman bin Hamad Al-Gharibi is hereby appointed an Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources for Regional Municipalities Affairs and Water Resources.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 25 June 2001.

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 67/2000 Regarding Some Provisions of Higher Education Institutes and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 4 of the mentioned Royal Decree 67/2000 is hereby replaced with the following text:

The government shall grant private universities the equivalent of 50% of the paid-up capital of the university, with a maximum of three million Rial Omani, in accordance with the conditions and controls set by the competent entity.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
