We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 86/97 regarding Majlis Oman and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sayyid Qahtan bin Nasser bin Khalfan Al-Busaidi is hereby appointed a member of Majlis Al-Dawla.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 January 2002.

The Economic Coordination Council is hereby recomposed under the chairmanship of the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and the membership of:

1. Minister of National Economy—Deputy Chairman

2. Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs

3. Sheikh Mustahail bin Ahmed Al-Maashni—Advisor to the State

4. Minister of Transport and Communications

6. Minister of Commerce and Industry

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
