We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree 8/80 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 90/85 Determining the Employment Status of the Position of “Secretary General”,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Thuwaini bin Shihab Al-Said is hereby appointed Secretary General of the Office of His Highness the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Article I

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mubarak bin Mustahil Shammas is hereby transferred from the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources and appointed an advisor in the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar with his same grade and financial entitlements.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Mohammed bin Yousuf bin Dawood Shalwani, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
