We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 48/86 Ratifying the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT),

and Royal Decree 63/96 Ratifying the Amendments to the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT) and Its Operating Agreement,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows.

Article I

The Minister of Communications is hereby delegated to sign the amendments to the Protocol on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Maritime Satellite Organization.

Article II

The amendments to the mentioned protocol on privileges and immunities are hereby ratified as of the date of signing these amendments.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The mentioned Agreement on Mutual Encouragement and Protection of Investments Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and its annex are hereby ratified.

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Highness Sayyid Jaifar bin Salim bin Ali Al-Said, Our ambassador to the French Republic, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Portuguese Republic.

Article II

Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Sweden and the Swiss Confederation.

Article III
