Royal Decree 27/98 Appointing a Non-Resident Ambassador

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Hussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif, Our ambassador to the United Kingdom, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Salim bin Ali bin Omar Bayaqoub Al-Mushaikhi is hereby promoted to the rank of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the State of Bahrain.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
