We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Rashid bin Nasser bin Sulaiman Al-Lamki—Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Burkina Faso.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 49/89 Extending the Exemption from Income Tax Prescribed for Companies Wholly Owned by Omani Nationals

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 47/81 Issuing the Corporate Income Tax Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 7/87 Extending the Exemption from Income Tax Prescribed for Companies Wholly Owned by Omani Nationals,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The exemption prescribed by the mentioned Royal Decree 7/87 for companies wholly owned by Omani nationals hereby continues until the end of December 1988.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 concerning the Promulgation of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 5/80 Issuing the Land Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached System of Apartments and Floors Ownership hereby apply.

Article II

As an exception to the provisions of the aforementioned Land Law, “companies wholly owned by Omanis” may own land to construct buildings on it with the intention of transferring their ownership.
