Royal Decree 40/85 Delegating in the Signing of the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement and the Agreement on Encouragement and Reciprocal Protection of Investments Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the initialled draft Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement and the initialled draft Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Economic Affairs is hereby authorised to sign in a final manner on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate the mentioned Economic and Technical Cooperation and the Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 39/85 Granting Privileges to Oman Bank for Agriculture and Fisheries

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 50/81 Establishing an Omani Joint Stock Company Named Oman Bank for Agriculture and Fisheries,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

In addition to what is stipulated in the mentioned Royal Decree 50/81 in articles 6, 7, and 8, Oman Bank for Agriculture and Fisheries is hereby granted the following privileges:

(a) The funds of the bank are deemed public property, and they enjoy the rights of the public treasury of the Sultanate and its privileges and priorities against the property of the debtors of the bank and their guarantors.

The bank may collect its debts and rights in accordance with the procedures for the collection of government funds and with priority over debts and rights of others.

(b) The notifications of the bank at various government directorates regarding real estate registration or enforcement procedures, and against the debtors of the bank, their guarantors, and their rights with others, have the status of official government notifications.

(c) The lawsuits of the bank, its claims, and its executive and administrative procedures have urgency status with the courts, directorates, committees, and other administrative councils in the Sultanate.
