We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 84/81 on the Internal Statute of the State Consultative Council,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Abdullah bin Sakhar Al-Amri is hereby appointed Assistant Secretary General of the State Consultative Council, transferred from the Ministry of Information, with the financial grade designated for an undersecretary of a ministry.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 1 March 1985.

In pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Brigadier Hamid bin Said bin Mohammed Al-Aufi is hereby promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed Assistant Chief of Defence Staff for Operations.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
