With reference to the grace period for rectifying statuses announced by the Ministry, employers may transfer the services of workers who have left work, whether their work cards are expired or still valid, provided that there is no active labor violation report. The approval for such requests will be granted automatically. Accordingly, employers wishing to benefit from these facilitation measures must submit a service transfer request through the Ministry’s electronic system. Upon obtaining the approval, they shall refer to the relevant administrative division of the Ministry (Directorate / Department / Section) for Labor Welfare to obtain a notification letter for the cancellation of the worker’s travel ban/alert associated with the work abandonment report from the records of the Royal Oman Police, and to complete the service transfer procedures with the Royal Oman Police. Please note that this service will expire at the end of the grace period for rectifying statuses.
