Royal Decree 44/2007 Declaring Public Benefit Status for Part of Plot RM/1/25/16/1/71 in the Wilayat of Muttrah

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The ownership of part of plot RM/1/25/16/1/71 is hereby expropriated for public benefit in accordance with the attached note and masterplan.

Article II

Competent entities may seize, through direct execution, the mentioned part and all establishments on it, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 41/2007 Establishing a Directorate General for Scouts and Guides in the Ministry of Education

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96, the Law on Scouting in the Sultanate of Oman issued by Royal Decree 10/75, the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State issued by Royal Decree 26/75, the Mandates of the Ministry of Education issued by Royal Decree 19/97, the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Education issued by Royal Decree 32/2001, and the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree 120/2004, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A Directorate General for Scouts and Guides is hereby established at the Ministry of Education, reporting directly to the minister, and its mandates must be determined by a ministerial decision.

Article II

The property of the Scouts and Guides National Authority and all its holdings are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Education, and the annual budget allocated to the authority is hereby transferred to it.

Article III

All employees of the mentioned authority are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Education with their same grades and financial allocations.

Article IV

The mentioned Law on Scouting in the Sultanate of Oman issued by Royal Decree 10/75 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the provisions of this decree.

Article V

Royal Decree 46/2007 Amending the Annex Attached to Royal Decree 95/96 Granting the Liquefied Natural Gas Project Concession and the Provisions of Implementation

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 42/74 issuing the Oil and Minerals Law,

Royal Decree 95/96 Granting the Concession of Liquefied Natural Gas Project and the Conditions of Implementation,

the agreement signed on 23 October 1996 between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company,

and the amendment agreement signed on 20 November 2006 between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article 5 of the Annex of the Terms and Conditions for Granting Concession of the Liquefied Natural Gas Project attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 95/96 is hereby replaced with the following text:

The income of the company resulting from activities exempt from income tax is exempted until 31 December 2005.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and the relevant bodies shall implement its provisions.

Article II

the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks 1989,

the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants 1991,

the Trademark Law Treaty 1994,

and the Patent Law Treaty 2000,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned protocol and treaties is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of accession to the protocol and treaties in accordance with their provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
