Royal Decree 37/2004 Ratifying the Statutes of the Standardization Organization for the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Statutes of the Standardization Organization of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which was approved by the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council at its twenty-fourth session held in the State of Kuwait on 21 and 22 December 2003,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Statutes of the Standardization Organization of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

The competent minister shall deposit the instrument of ratification with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the headquarters state.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 25/99 Licensing the Security and Fire Services Corporation to Exercise the Activity of Providing Additional Security Services,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article II(2) of the mentioned Royal Decree 24/99 is hereby replaced with the following text:

2. Security guard services using guards trained or not trained to carry and use weapons.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
